Q&A with filmmaker Soda Kazuhiro

SODA KAZUHIRO is an award-winning Japanese filmmaker based in New York. He is known for his observational method and style of documentary filmmaking in which he strictly prohibits himself from doing pre-shoot research or meetings in order to minimize preconceptions. Described by Robert Koehler of FILM COMMENT, “Soda has developed into one of the discipline’s most interesting and freest artists.”
