The Porch at Schenley
For the first PFMC of the spring 2018 semester, we’ll be doing another informal gathering to discuss over drinks one of last year’s SCMS prize winners for best first book, Miriam Petty’s Stealing the Show: African American Performers and Audiences in 1930s Hollywood (Oakland: University of California Press, 2016).
The book is available through Pitt’s ebrary, so focus on the introduction and then feel free to dip into any other parts of the book that grab your interest.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP on the evite here so we can get an accurate head count for space.
Please contact David Pettersen at email@example.com with any questions or concerns you may have.
