His representative publications include: "Trends in 20th Century Slovak Filmmaking," Slovakia Vol. 37; "Linguistic Minorities in Slovakia" (1998) in: Linguistic Minorities in Central and Eastern Europe; A Slovak-English Contrastive Grammar (1976; revised edition 2000). He regularly teaches A Cultural History of Slovakia; Slovak and Czech Cinema; A Survey of Slovak Literature and Culture; Slovak language.
