Broadcasting class welcomes veteran camera operators Jim Krisher and Scott Dobson

Veteran camera operators Jim Krisher and Scott Dobson lent their more than 70-years of combined experience to our Broadcasting class this past Wednesday.

Pitt's broadcasting students had a chance to "build" and operate the "High 50" camera (used for sports events in the Petersen Event Center), as well as operate studio cameras in Pitt Studios.

The 16 students were split into two groups of eight, spending half the class working with the studio cameras and half the class with the "High 50" camera above the basketball court.

As two of Pittsburgh's most experienced camera operators, Mr. Krisher and Mr. Dobson have covered the World Series, Monday Night Footbal and the Stanley Cup Playoffs & Finals. Both shoot every game for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pitt Panthers basketball and football.
