Andy Lee is a Ph.D. student in Film and Media Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. He focuses on Korea's occupied cinema under the influence of Japanese Imperialism and US military influence. His forthcoming publications delve into the visualization of precarity in Korean high-school horror films and the insufficient promotion of feminist themes in Kim Ji-young, Born 1982. He holds MA degrees from both Columbia University and the University of California, San Diego.
